what is the difference between the Alpha Black and project salvo paintball markers?
I want to buy either one but i cannot decide. I want the rails of the project salvo but i found a package on amazon where the egrip comes with the alpha Black Marker already. Is it possible to change the shroud of the alpha black to make it have rails around the barrel and is it possible to take off the carry handle and add rails on top of the alpha black to make it look like a project salvo?
They are really the same thing just with a lil different body and just different barrel shroud and stock.
You cant remove the alpha black carry handle unless you want to cut it off. You can just add rails to it by drilling and screwing rails on to it. The front barrel shroud is removable from the alpha and you can buy the salvo shroud for about $25 to $35 on ebay. Same with the stock.
Really They are not that different and all your paying for is the body mods. The internals are the same. They are really just a tippmann 98 custom with a different body and mods slopped on. The perform the same as a 98 custom and to me not worth the money. I would recommend to spend the money on either a BT marker or sp-1. Bt makes a few markers that look like the salvo and the internals are upgraded on the bt marker so it works a lil smoother and shoot faster. And the sp-1 is just totally better all around then both markers. Sp-1 has a great electronic trigger, has eyes for anti chop system, and shoots fast and real smooth.
