How much would u pay for a Proto Matrix 2008 Paintball Gun?
Is a pm8 any good and How comparable is it to a DYE DM8
Depending on the condition, any upgrades, and any accessories that are included with it, I'd say you could get anywhere from $200-275 for it, as they typically average about $250 used. Might get a bit more if it is a Limited Edition model or has custom paint or other custom features, but there are a lot of used PMR's on the market, so you'd likely end up selling it on the lower end of the price spectrum.
The PMR is basically a low to mid-end entry- level tourney marker made by Dye as a starter model, while the DM8 is a high-end gun, so they are not at all comparable in price or features. The PMR is basically a stripped-down, less expensive version of a Dye marker- kind of like Volkswagen is the lower-priced version of an Audi or Porsche. It's not a bad marker by any means, but it is not a high-end gun like a Bob Long, MacDev, Angel, Dye, etc.
The PMR is a great starter or mid-level marker, but compared to a DM 8 it has a slower ROF, uses a LOT more air, and is not as smooth or custom feeling as the DM 8. Again, the VW vs. Audi metaphor applies here, and you get what you pay for with a Dye gun.
