Black Dust
Why does my date have a pit covered in black dust?
I bought some fresh dried dates, and they were all fine and dandy till I bit one of them and found the pit surrounded by what looked like black fuzzy dust. Does anybody have any idea what this fuzzy dust might be?
But see that's the thing. It didn't seem like any mold I've ever seen before and when I opened the date up more it just sorta fell out like a powder. Could it have been mold that dried up from the drying process or something?
Mould? Don't eat it ... eww :/
